Red Suite 4.1.5 Released

Red Suite v4.1.5 is now available. This new release introduces support for Cortex-M4 MCUs from leading vendors, including:
  • STMicroelectronics STM32F4
  • Texas Instruments LM4F
  • NXP LPC4300
The new features for Cortex-M4 parts includes:
  • compiler and library support for floating point operations
  • full debugger support including floating point register displays
  • CMSIS DSP library utilising the Cortex-M4 DSP instructions

Red Suite v4.1.5 is available for download now. A fully functional evaluation version is also available. Red Suite v4.1.5 runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X hosts.

Red Suite 4.1 Released

Red Suite v4.1 is now available. This new release introduces major new features including
  • Support for STMicroelectronics STM32 MCU families
  • Red State graphical tool for designing and generating state machines
STMicroelectronics STM32 MCU families
This support includes
  • creation of STM32 projects using the Red Suite project wizard, which generates appropriate startup code and target specific linker scripts
  • example code for many popular STM32 evaluation boards
  • debugging support with Code Red's popular Red Probe+debug emulator
  • display of STM32 peripherals
  • Red Trace
Support for STM32F1 and STM32F2 families is available immediately, with the recently announced STM32F4 following shortly.

Red State
Red State is a graphical tool for designing state machines and automatically generating the code required to implement the state machine. The state diagram is built in the Red State editor by drawing states and the transitions between them. You can easily set conditions under which the transitions will occur and associate events with the transitions, such as setting of outputs.

Red State generates C code for
  • Software state machines
  • NXP State Configurable Time (SCT) peripheral
